Achyut is a dedicated math educator with over 20 years of experience helping students build confidence, mastery, and independence in mathematics. He graduated cum laude from Duke University and holds a Master’s degree in Math Adolescent Education from Hunter College (CUNY). Achyut taught math in the classroom for over 10 years, most recently at Trinity School in Manhattan, where he taught Upper School math. Since 2014, he has focused on private tutoring, working one-on-one with students across a wide range of levels. His teaching style is personable, patient, and straightforward with a knack for meeting students where they are. He is able to demystify even the most challenging topics in the high school math curriculum and teach them in a way that makes sense to the average student. He excels at building strong connections with students and adapting his approach to each learner’s needs.

Anabel is an application essay specialist who has worked with students at the high school, college, and graduate levels (she also loves coaching medical residency narratives!). Drawing on her background as both a writer and educator, Anabel supports students through every stage of the process, from brainstorming to revision, with a blend of practical expertise, humor, and empathy. Anabel received her BA from Vassar College and her MFA in Creative Writing from Texas State University. She is the winner of the Prada Feltrinelli Prize and The Fiction Desk’s Ghost Story Competition. Her work has appeared in Day One, Prada Journal, Joyland, Joyland Retro, The Chicago Tribune’s Printer’s Row, Story|Houston, The Fiction Desk, and The Southampton Review. She is an intuitive listener, an outside-the-box brainstormer, and an enthusiastic editor who is equal parts taskmaster and cheerleader.

Ari has 15 years of experience as an academic support and test prep tutor with students ranging from elementary school through college and beyond. He specializes in all levels of math, statistics, computer science, and data analytics, helping students grasp difficult concepts by breaking them down into more easily digestible pieces. A graduate of Brown University (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) with degrees in Applied Mathematics and Music, Ari worked as a data scientist, mathematician, and statistician at a research lab at Princeton University. He's patient and encouraging, and adjusts his approach based on how each student learns best.

Ashley graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Yale University with distinction in her two majors, Italian & International Studies. She grew up in New York City and attended Convent of the Sacred Heart School for 13 years, graduating as the Salutatorian. Ashley is fluent in five languages and has studied all the languages that she speaks in their native countries. She blends left and right brain techniques to craft a different approach that is tailored to the need of each student. She loves watching her students surprise themselves and do better than they thought they could.

Chloe is a New York City–based school counselor and educator who works closely with students as they navigate both the academic and social-emotional parts of school. She has experience working with students across elementary, middle, and high school, with a strong focus on executive functioning, organization, and helping students build habits that actually stick. Her work is centered around helping students understand how they learn best while building the confidence and skills they need to manage stress and stay on top of their work. Alongside her counseling work, Chloe also supports students with ISEE and SSAT prep, as well as general academic tutoring, always taking an individualized approach. Chloe holds a Master’s in School Counseling from Hunter College and a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Vermont, where she also minored in Spanish. She currently works as a high school counselor in New York City, supporting 9th and 10th grade students through the transition into high school. Outside of work, she enjoys exercising, exploring the city, spending time with her cats, and getting out of NYC whenever she can.

Daniel is a tutor who specializes in college test prep. Daniel found his passion for working with high schoolers as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo, West Africa, where he taught 11th grade English as a second language. You can find Daniel on social media @satpreptutor, where he has a following of 270k+ across platforms. Daniel loves to work with motivated students who are ready to get their dream scores!

David is a full-time LSAT specialist who has been helping students achieve their best for over 20 years. He is the author of multiple books about test preparation and the creator of an advanced online platform for LSAT students. David uses a researched approach to the test material and effective learning methods, and he continuously refines his processes to maximize student outcomes. He has a degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University and a master’s from UC Davis. Today he lives outside Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.

Edward is an experienced LSAT tutor with hundreds of one-on-one tutoring hours. He believes LSAT success comes from tailored support that builds on each student's strengths, and his philosophy is straightforward: once a student understands the how and why behind their thinking, they can improve. His sessions focus on making student thinking visible and the process repeatable, so no two sessions look alike. Edward scored a 177 on the LSAT and earned his JD from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. After graduating, he practiced corporate law at Kirkland & Ellis before his love of teaching led him to education, and he went on to earn a Master's in 7-12 Math Education. He has nearly six years of high school teaching experience alongside his tutoring work, and has helped students score as high as a 178 on the LSAT.

Elizabeth holds a BA in English Literature from Bryn Mawr College, an MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a PhD in History from Boston University. In Boston, she taught in the Boston University Department of History and at the Pardee School. She also ran a series of writing workshops for humanities graduate students at BU.

Grace is a Brooklyn-based educator for academic and arts-based learning. She first developed her passion for teaching at the age of 14, working as a dance instructor. Her work in education expanded continuously through her time at Tufts University, and she now has over 10 years experience in individualized, tailored instruction. Grace works closely with both students and parents, and pushes her students to do more than they think they can. Her former work with the Metropolitan Opera Guild strengthened her commitment to creative problem solving and critical thinking throughout all of her educational practice. She has taught hundreds of students in math, language, reading comprehension, SAT/ACT, and a myriad of other standardized tests.

Dr. Gustavo is a college professor of chemistry with over 20 years of experience teaching and mentoring students at the high-school, college, and graduate levels. He holds a PhD in chemistry and has published extensively in scientific research, but his true passion is helping students build confidence, clarity, and strong problem-solving skills. As a tutor, he focuses on clear explanations, step-by-step reasoning, and helping students truly understand the material rather than memorize it. He's patient and encouraging, and adjusts each session to where the student is and where they're trying to go.

Jackie is a Master Teacher and Private Tutor with over 15 years experience working with both primary and early childhood students, including those applying to pre-k, enrolled in pre-k, applying for kindergarten and already in kindergarten. A native New Yorker, Jackie is a graduate of the Horace Mann School, and holds degrees from Vassar College and Teachers College, Columbia University. Jackie also spent time studying in Reggio-Emilia and is trained in Learning without Tears, Orton-Gillingham, Sounds in Motion and Singapore Math. Jackie has helped prepare children for top schools across Manhattan. Using both familiar and unfamiliar "games," Jackie makes learning necessary skills fun for her students.

Jacquie is a dedicated and experienced tutor who works closely with students to build confidence, strong academic skills, and effective study habits. She adjusts her teaching to each student's pace and the way they learn best. Jacquie believes every student can grow with the right support. In addition to her work as a tutor, Jacquie is a trained actress, which allows her to bring energy, creativity, and excitement into every session. Students consistently express how much they enjoy her classes and how quickly the time passes because they are genuinely engaged.

Jake is a learning specialist with more than 15 years of experience serving the learning and developmental needs of students of all ages, with a specialty in upper middle school and high school. His New York-based private practice combines his extensive teaching and tutoring experience with an understanding of current advances in educational research and training. At its heart, his practice combines high-level literacy instruction with executive functioning coaching. Jake is a graduate of the Bank Street College of Education, with a dual Master of Science in general and special education. His areas of expertise include reading comprehension, writing, executive functioning, and diverse content-area remediation. His undergraduate background in history imbues his practice with a wide-ranging knowledge of culture, literature, art, and politics. He is comfortable forming learning teams and regularly engages with schools, therapists, and other specialists who may also be working with his students. While retaining a holistic approach centered on student strengths, Jake is also results-oriented and focused on student success at school and beyond. His ultimate goal is facilitating his students’ independence and the full realization of their abilities, using his up-to-date understanding of executive functioning as a foundation for helping his students maximize their strengths.

Jason is a test preparation expert whose career grew out of a personal recognition that his strengths lay in teaching, analytical thinking, and academic strategy. After earning a degree in Computer Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Jason pivoted toward test preparation, where his ability to break down complex ideas and communicate them clearly proved to be a natural fit. In his five years at Bell Curves, he helped students across a wide range of abilities achieve consistent and meaningful score improvements. In 2012, Jason relocated to Beijing where he worked with the highest achieving students in China, with all of his students going on to gain admission at top 20 US universities and colleges.

Jonathan is a neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist in New York City. He graduated with a Summa Cum Laude Bachelor of Science in Neural Science from NYU's College of Arts and Science, and an Accelerated 3-Year MD from NYU's School of Medicine. He views science and math as sophisticated languages for distilling the simple from the complex, and loves sharing his excitement for these fields. He believes that the successful academic path is paved by placing the focus on understanding, not memorization, and removing any obstacles that impede the measurement of understanding. As a yoga teacher, Jonathan includes mindfulness practices in sessions to improve student resilience, outlook, and performance.

Lincoln is a Brooklyn-based educator and artist with over ten years of experience in academic tutoring. Since graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Tufts University, Lincoln has worked with hundreds of students of all ages in subjects ranging from reading, writing, math, and history, to musical theater, songwriting, and guitar. His teaching approach centers on confidence-building, self-expression, and fostering student discovery and curiosity. He also serves as the Director of Tufts Creative Arts, an educational theater program emphasizing exploration, process, and collaboration in a fun, non-competitive environment. Lincoln collects hobbies voraciously and indiscriminately, including (but not limited to) crossword puzzles, reading, drawing, and making synthesizers go “WEEWOO!”

Lindsey began tutoring her junior year of college at William Paterson University in NJ in Algebra and Geometry. She has been working as a high school math teacher for over ten years and truly enjoys helping students acquire essential skills, build confidence and make connections. In her free time, Lindsey loves to work out at 5 AM and spend time with her three amazing children.

Lora has 20 years of experience in early childhood education, primarily at the 92nd Street Y Nursery School, and holds a master's degree in Early Childhood and Early Childhood Special Education. She works with children from birth through second grade across all areas of development and learning. She views herself as a guide and partner, working alongside children to problem-solve and build understanding together. Her sessions are highly individualized, with a focus on the areas where each child needs the most support. Her hope is that children look forward to her visits and hardly realize how hard they are working.

Taylor has been helping students achieve their academic and admissions test goals for almost a decade. She has worked with families from an array of backgrounds, giving her experience working with students of diverse skill sets, learning styles, and goals. She believes any student can hit their goals when they get the right kind of support, and she likes figuring out what that looks like for each person. In addition to working with students herself, Taylor also has several years' experience training other teachers and tutors in SAT and SHSAT test preparation and developing prep curriculum for a variety of K-12 admissions exams.

Tessa has over 20 years of experience helping students advance and excel academically through a blend of rigor, creativity, and emotional intelligence. She loves finding the unique path to inspire each student she works with. Though fluent in French after 11 years in a French-immersion school in San Francisco, Tessa started late as a second grader and had to work hard to catch up, an experience that gave her deep compassion for students who struggle with the fear of not knowing. She went on to become valedictorian of both her middle school and high school, earned her IB diploma, and graduated from UC Berkeley. Tessa specializes in helping adolescents develop their writing voice and craft compelling essays for high school, college, and graduate school admissions.

Thomas is an educator and software developer with over 15 years of teaching experience and 8 years writing code. He ranked in the top 1% on the AI community platform Kaggle and taught machine learning bootcamps before the current AI wave hit. Now considered an AI guru by top entrepreneurs, he helps non-technical creatives and business owners build real products and automations through his consulting practice and AI Mastermind communities. He's the type of guy who has 8 AI agents running simultaneously across his 160+ coding projects while he sips tea. He burns through three $200/month AI plans on a weekly basis, and brings that depth of hands-on experience to every person he works with.
